Winemaker <strong>Linda Cs&oacute;bor-Kisari<\/strong> welcomed us and told us about the story of the 34-hectare estate and their wines.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/bor.hu\/media\/uploads\/hirek_2022\/05_majus\/velence_kepriport\/gardony_csobor_linda_mg3867_langnandor_20220311_adobergb_dpi300_full.jpg?1652793734627\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She also told us about their achievements, which confirm their constant striving for quality, such as one of their products being one of the Winelovers top 100 wines and that she still feels good about the fact that they win the Wine of G&aacute;rdony award from year to year. As our eyes catch on a stone in the tasting room during the conversation, it is revealed that it is a tartar that was thickly deposited inside a barrel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/bor.hu\/media\/uploads\/hirek_2022\/05_majus\/velence_kepriport\/gardony_csobor_pinceszet_borko_mg3904_langnandor_20220311_adobergb_dpi300_full.jpg?1652793767109\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/bor.hu\/media\/uploads\/hirek_2022\/05_majus\/velence_kepriport\/gardony_csobor_pinceszet_pince_mg3832_langnandor_20220311_adobergb_dpi300_full.jpg?1652793814853\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From Ag&aacute;rd, we headed for <a href=\"https:\/\/winesofhungary.hu\/wineries\/lics-winery-4570\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Lics Winery<\/strong><\/a> in P&aacute;kozd, one of the region&#8217;s well-known wine-producing families, which also has an estate in Budafok and one in Szeksz&aacute;rd. Their P&aacute;kozd estate, surrounded by the vineyards and boasting a panoramic terrace, was a truly unexpected and pleasant discovery. While <strong>Bal&aacute;zs Lics<\/strong>, the owner and winemaker told the story of the cellar built by the Jesuit order in the 1750s, the four-legged member of the family, Mumu the dog, kept a watchful eye on the drone about to take off&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/bor.hu\/media\/uploads\/hirek_2022\/05_majus\/velence_kepriport\/pakozd_lics_balazs_mg3911_langnandor_20220311_adobergb_dpi300_full.jpg?1652793859421\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/bor.hu\/media\/uploads\/hirek_2022\/05_majus\/velence_kepriport\/pakozd_lics_pinceszet_vau_mg3928_langnandor_20220311_adobergb_dpi300_full.jpg?1652793888877\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t take much imagination to see this beautiful landscape in July, when the hillside is already lush green, so it&#8217;s no wonder why the winery is also a popular wedding and event venue. From the 30 hectares, Chardonnay, Irsai Oliv&eacute;r, Juhfark, Sz&uuml;rkebar&aacute;t (Pinot Gris), Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, and Pinot Noir are processed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/bor.hu\/media\/uploads\/hirek_2022\/05_majus\/velence_kepriport\/pakozd_lics_pinceszet_dji0049_langnandor_20220311_adobergb_dpi300_full.jpg?1652793910534\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While in P&aacute;kozd, we couldn&#8217;t miss the Miska-Hussar statue, visible from the highway, with its massive 12.5 metres height. The statue commemorates Hungarian Hussar traditions and holds the title of the world&#8217;s tallest Hussar statue.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/bor.hu\/media\/uploads\/hirek_2022\/05_majus\/velence_kepriport\/pakozd_miskahuszar_dji0075_langnandor_20220311_adobergb_dpi300_full.jpg?1652793933526\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The third winery which we had the opportunity to visit that day was <a href=\"https:\/\/winesofhungary.hu\/wineries\/aprokertek-winery-4668\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Apr&oacute;Kertek Winery<\/strong><\/a> near P&aacute;zm&aacute;nd.
