Introduction

A genuine three-generation winery and vineyard whose story started in 1955 in Balatonboglár, where the first generation (András Lakatos) was the founder and launcher of the first wine region in Hungary. The results of his work can still be traced to this day on the southern part of the lake Balaton. The family currenlty has a larger vineyard since 1977 in Dörgicse and Tihany, which is under continuous expansion, to the areas of Paloznak and Balatonfüred. All three generations of the family lived and worked in South America between 1983 and 2013, creating a new wine regions, where grapes are growing twice a year, with the wine region still living to this today. The family returned to Hungary in 2002 and continued expanding the vine-growing in Dörgicse. We produce grapes in areas that were considered the best in the Roman times, in the Balatonfüred wine region.
