Introduction

The winery was founded on 29.08.2015. The cellar is located in Hercegkút on the so-called “Kőporosi cellar line”. Cellars of Kőporos are part of the World Heritage site — masterpieces of folk architecture. The cellar has a branch for hosting wine tasting events and is suitable for 20 people. My first wine that I have started producing and selling is a 2018 Furmint. Furmint is a typical Hungarian grape variety. This wine has received several awards in national competitions. Hercegkút is in the north-east of Hungary, it is part of the Tokaj wine producing region. The total size of our vineyard is 18 hectares with production areas located in 5 areas. Most of them are in Hercegkút, but we also grow 6 hectares of Furmint grapes on the border of Tolcsva. The Furmint area on which the 2018 vintage Furmint wine was made is located in Hercegkút on the so-called Gombos-hill. We have 5 hectares of yellow muscatel of which 2 hectares are 3-year-old plantations and has been harvested first in 2019. In the spring of 2018 we planted 1 hectare vineyards of Tramini on the so-called Hosszú Hill. On most of the vineyards we have Hárslevelű, which is a traditional grape variety of the Carpatian Basin.
