Introduction

My name is Balazs Sulyok and I am working as a winemaker at the Gróf Degenfeld Wine Estate. Our 35 hectares of vineyards - which are organically certified since 2009 - are situated on the confines of Mad and Tarcal. Thanking to this fact I can proudly announce that the love of nature and respect of traditions play a significant role in my everyday work. Furthermore, as a winemaker I am trying to be a high achiever and because of this, the thirst for knowledge is also part of my philosophy. I do not like average, moreover I believe that only the search for flawlessness can bear fruit. The wine itself is like a loyal pet – requires constant care - and the wine repays this with its outstanding quality at the moment of consumption. Festive moments combine with gastronomic experience and this is how the wine becomes a leading actor. Wine made with precision and humbleness gives value to family and corporate occasions as well, but it might be a perfect match for an intimate conversation too.
