Introduction

In his entirely family-owned and run wine cellar in Villány, Tamás Lelovits continues a family heritage that goes back six generations. Still, it was not parental pressure that made him embark on this career: he decided to follow his calling and realize his dreams.The originally 1-hectare-vineyard has now grown to an estate of 10 hectares, producing grapes on the best Villány parcels, such as Jammertal, Ördögárok and Remete, but also on the legendary Kopár parcel in Nagyharsány, and Bocor parcel in Kisharsány.Tamás, a formally educated and trained winemaker, a certified wine judgegraduated at Corvinus University in Budapest. He is invited regularly to attend prestigious Hungarian wine competitions as a wine judge.
