Introduction

The Neiner Cellar is a small family winery in the historical wine region of Szekszárd, currently with three hectares of vineyards, located on the tops of the mountains or directly below: Őcsényi-hill (Cinka), Porkoláb-valley and Ferenc-valley. We are a traditional winemaker family, we have been living in Szekszárd for three centuries – our grandfathers came from Bavaria in the early 1700s – and we are engaged in winemaking. We are three brothers (János, András, István), we cultivate grapes, take care of the estate, in the cellar. We are practically using manufactory methods, preserving the traditional methods passed over the centuries (open fermentation, manual kneading, spontaneous fermentation without species yeast), while using what is strictly necessary today (eg cooling, crushing). The diligent work of human is the gift – a small estate that gives us a lot of work, but also joy and pride, with the Kadarka plantations that are now a real hungaricum.
