Introduction

The Steigler Winery and its Wine Estate was founded by Mr.Bálint Lőrinczy, a descendant of the Török family with its centuries old roots in Sopron. Thus the Steigler Winery have been reestablished in respect to family values and traditions.The 21 hectare estate is located in the finest areas of the Sopron wine region. The vineyards have undergone major developments, as well as a transition to organic cultivation under the close supervision of Biokontroll.The operational management of the winery and the estate is executed by Mr.Tamás Varga, oenologist, who has gained substantial expertise in the field of organic vinoculture and wine making in Austria, California and New Zealand.The aim and vision of the Steigler Winery is to make use of the vineyard’s exceptional benefits in combination with the winery’s advanced technologies to create exquisite and high-quality bio-wines ,meanwhile preserving the advantage of the terroir,based on the benefits of the mica slate soil.
