Introduction
The Tiffán family is producing wine since 1746. The founder Ede Tiffán worked as the chief winemaker at the Villány State Farm for decades and is regarded as one of the leading pioneers of his wine region. Besides this job he produced his first wine in 1967 - a cabernet franc. Ede was the first winemaker of the year in 1991, he was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Republic of Hungary in 1999 and was given a lifetime achievement award by the Hungarian Wine Academy in 2018. Tiffán’s exceptional professionalism and his enthusiasm for the Villány wine region guarantees that the wines are authentic and traditional. Since 2018, the new eleventh generation is working in the family business as well.
