Introduction
Our family has had a tradition of viticulture and winemaking for generations, which has also developed into a profession over the years. Our winery was founded in 2000 by Béla Varga, the head of the family with many years of winemaking experience. Today, his son, Máté, is also the owner of this “beautiful” profession and an active member of the business. Although the areas of the grandparents and the beginnings are connected to the Balaton Uplands, today we continue production in the Historical Wine Region of Mór. The areas are located on the hills between the Vértes and Bakony mountains and on the southwestern slopes of Vértes. We produce mostly traditional Mór varieties - Ezerjó, Királyleányka, Traminit, Irsai Olivér and Zenit - on about 20 ha of plantations, but thanks to our new plantations, some world varieties, such as Chardonnay or Merlot, have also been added to our variety selection. Our oenological philosophy is to produce quality wines that meet modern wine tastes and take into account the specifics of the varieties by emphasizing the traditional varieties of the wine region.
