Monor is located around 30 kilometres from Budapest. There are currently around 960 cellars in a contiguous cellar village, a feature that is unique not only in Hungary, but also in Europe.

On January 17, 2026, visitors to Strázsahegy will be welcomed by more than 15 wine cellars offering wine, mulled wine, tea, and delicious snacks. There is no admission fee; you pay according to your consumption at the respective wineries.
