St. Vincent’s Day in Mád
2026. január 24.
For centuries, St. Vincent’s Day has been one of the most important holidays for winegrowers: it is a time for prunning, asking for blessings on the harvest and, according to folk tradition, predicting the quality of the wine in the coming year based on the weather. In Mád, they celebrate all of this with a blessing of the grapes, wine, a communal walk and good cheer, all against the fabulous backdrop of St. Thomas Hill.
