Introduction

The history of Leirer wines dates back to 1987, when I planted my first grape at the age of 19. In the area of Nemesnádudvar, the traditionally Kadarka was the typical grape variety at that time, so the Zweigelt and Chardonnay varieties were considered a curiosity. Our family then had two cellars, one of which I was given to use to practice the processes of winemaking. By the end of 2015, we had reached 100% of our current plantations, at the same time our cellar was constantly evolving and continues to evolve to this day. A traditional Swabian workshop mixes with modern technological tools and procedures.
