Introduction

The wine region around Szekszárd is one of the oldest historical wine-growing areas of the country. Presently our family has a vineyard of 35 acres on the Szentgál hillside. Zomba- Szentgál-vineyard is famous for its vineyard on the hill and a former mansion of the landowner Komlósy family. We have converted the barn into an up-to-date wine processing building, having preserved its historical facade. Szekszárd is characterised by high alcohol and acid content full –bodied red wines made of domestic and international kinds of grapes. The best known product is a mixture of different wines called „bikavér” (bull’s blood) of Szekszárd. Bikavér is one typical example of the many excellent red wines in Szekszárd. Our bull's blood wine performs very well in both international and national wine competitions. Wine-tasting programs  are arranged, for the time being, only in our historical wine cellar in Budafok (Budapest wine district) with Hungarian, German or English guiding.
