The international expansion of Hungarian wines reaches another milestone: in April 2026, the Wines of Hungary campaign will showcase the best of Hungarian wineries in the northern regions of the United Kingdom—specifically in Edinburgh, Manchester, and Leeds—under the name “Pour Your Own Path – Northern Tour.” More than 26 Hungarian wineries will be represented at the roadshow, allowing the British professional audience and importers to experience the diversity and quality of Hungarian wines firsthand.
The goal of the series of events is not merely to showcase the wines: the “Pour Your Own Path” platform provides an opportunity for personal networking, professional dialogue, and positioning the wines in the British market. In Edinburgh and Manchester, daytime professional tastings and masterclasses will be held, where representatives of wineries can meet personally with importers and retailers. Approximately 80 visitors from the trade are expected in each city. In Leeds, the program will be supplemented by smaller, exclusive tastings and masterclasses involving local importers, where 40–50 representatives of the British wine trade will have the opportunity to taste the selected wines.
The evening programs in this series of events are based on a casual, informal “Networking Bar” format, designed to foster direct, interactive connections between wineries and the press, trade journalists, and relevant influencers. The featured wines will be available for tasting in a free-pour format, the program will be led by internationally recognized brand ambassadors, and a DJ will ensure a great atmosphere throughout the evening.
“Pour Your Own Path – Northern Tour” is yet another example of the growing presence of Hungarian wines on the international stage and the steadily increasing interest in the British market. The event series is not merely an opportunity to showcase products: for the participating wineries, it is a vibrant, dynamic platform where the style and quality of Hungarian wines are communicated directly to a professional audience.
The opportunity offered to Hungarian wineries is unique: the combination of a direct presence in the British market and professional networking strengthens the reputation of Hungarian wines and can lead to long-term partnerships in the United Kingdom. The “Pour Your Own Path” tour thus opens a new chapter in the international history of Hungarian wines, demonstrating that domestic wineries not only produce high-quality wines but are also capable of making their mark on the international stage.
