Introduction
Our winery was founded by Lajos Feind in 1995, when he bought 14 hectares of grapes on the shores of Lake Balaton. This is where his viticulture started and later grown further towards a winery, which has expanded into 130 hectares in 20 years to become our vineyards. Most of the vineyards in Balatonfőkajár are on Öreg-hegy (Old-Hill), but we also have areas in Balatonvilágos, Balatonaliga and Balatonfüred, so all our plantations belong to the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine region of Hungary. In January 2019, Lajos Feind entrusted the management of the winery to his son Zoltán Feind and managing director István Bacskai. According to the new managers, the winery has long since grown, so they dreamed of a fully equipped 2000 m2 winery on the border of Balatonfőkajár. It was a complete investment, so everything from grape processing till presses, to the bottling plant is now in one place. We work on 130 hectares with 20 grape varieties, so the choice is wide.
